Rules.

A basic list of Rules and Requirements for broadcasting the upcoming charity event, Running4Life.

Rules
============

1. You MUST Speed Run the games you broadcast! This event is specifically made to challenge your abilities to quickly beat as many games as possible in the time the event takes place, and also to raise as much money as we can for the charity. You do NOT have to do a FULL run, which means if you want to skip content, you may. If you want to do a full run, feel free. Just remember, this event is about SPEED!

2. You CANNOT play Multiplayer games during this event, UNLESS it is co-operative online Campaign/Story Mode. This means NO Matchmaking of ANY kind.

3. No cheat codes or glitches are allowed MOST of the time. In this case, lets say your doing Super Mario Bros. and you jump up and do the vine glitch, this is required if you want a quick speed-run, so it's allowed. But no max health and ammo cheat codes, no instantly unlocking every gun in the game cheat codes, no glitches that causes you to go from level 1 all the way to the end of the game. Period. If you want a more detailed approach on what you can or can't do, message me on JTV.

4. When participating in R4L, you must choose and beat atleast one game, more is allowed but it's stupid if you join in and start a speed-run but never finish it. If you join in and start a speedrun but never finish it or don't do a speedrun period, you will be removed from the R4L network channels area.

5. If possible, try and mark your time while you play, this isn't really a rule or anything, but it'll be nice to be able to compare times with others. It might even also add some challenge to beat another speedrun you did in the past. If you don't have a stopwatch in real life, you can use this. http://www.online-stopwatch.com/

Rules will be constantly updated as they are needed.

FAQ

A basic list of Frequently Asked Questions about the upcoming charity event, Running4Life.

FAQ
============

Q: Can I join the network as a broadcaster?

A: Of course! Anyone can join, and anyone can broadcast! No limitations!

Q: Can I join the network just to watch, support or advertise?

A: For sure! We'd love the help with advertising and supporting.

Q: Do I need a capture card to broadcast my speed runs?

A: You do NOT need a capture card to broadcast your video games! Capture cards, webcams, and screen capturing programs will all suffice! If it runs on JTV, it's good enough for us.

Q: Does all of the money go to Child's Play, or do the broadcasters get a reward?

A: Absolutely not. All of the money from the ChipIn Widgets you see on the broadcaster's Channels go directly to the Child's Play Charity. We are doing this as a personal challenge and entertainment, and to support Child's Play.

Q: How long will the event last?

A: The current date is set to be around December, but no full date has been set, but when it is set it will last for one full week.

Q: Is there a limit to how many games I can speed run?

A: No limit! If you think you can do them all by the time the event winds down, go for it!

Q: Do I have to do a FULL 100% Completion run or can I skip some things here and there during my speed runs?

A: You can skip as much or as little as you want, as long as you get from start to finish in as little time as possible.

This is a basic list and will be updated as more questions arise.
